Who am I and why does it matter?
I'm Rhys, AKA the Police Health Coach. I left the world of response policing to start my coaching business to help serving officers and emergency service workers to work towards their goals by navigating the challenges that shift work and life in an emergency service role will throw your way as someone who gets it.
Long hours, barely any time to eat, dealing with idiots, managing stress and trauma from the jobs you don't have a choice but to go to.
Funnily enough, all this can have a HUGE impact on your health, fitness and generally how you feel in yourself.
It's my goal to help you protect yourself, so you can stay in the job and start finding it easier to deal with whatever gets thrown your way.
This is the ethos I take with my clients, as most of them, want to stay in the job long term and have a successful career, rather than moaning about how shit it is or how hard it is.
They want the energy, body and mindset to deal with whatever gets thrown their way, so they're prepared to deal with it.
So, chances are, if you've seen my page, you've also seen the results I've got for people that are like you - busy shift workers working in various roles across the police and ambulance service. And in my time coaching, I've helped hundreds of emergency service workers in both my 1-2-1 coaching programme and my Shift In 7 programme that I run a few times a year (next one is in October).
At the end of the day, I want you to prove it to yourself that you can perform like a workhorse on shift and have the body to match so you're not living in oversized hoodies on your rest days or struggling to fill out your sleeves on your favourite T-Shirts.

You'll go through your very own assessment week (just like the clients you've seen above do). This will help you get the right targets set with your nutrition and know exactly what to focus on from the very next week.
This is a key part of the journey and it'll really open your eyes to what's holding you back currently so you'll have clarity on what to focus on first.
Nutrition programming
I'll be showing you how to set your diet up for whether you want to get leaner and lose weight, or pack some size on and make some gainz!
I'll cover some of the areas I focus on with my 1-2-1 clients at the start of their journeys so you can get the inside scoop to set your nutrition up around shift work to start seeing and feeling a change, both on the scales and in yourself.
Navigating shift work
Eating strategies specifically for night shifts, long hours, and irregular meal timings.
As well as helping you navigate around the common struggles and plateaus that tend to come up for my 1-2-1 clients and what we do to push past them.
Time efficient training
You'll have access to some sample training programmes that will show you how to train both efficiently and effectively as a shift worker.
I'll also be teaching you how to maximise your gains in the gym - showing you how to make progress with your training as well as the technique for each exercise.
